Sigpic in firefox Any idea what's going on here,Colin? My sigpic displays in ie,opera & chrome. For some reason it doesn't in firefox. Could it be a tinyurl problem? ---------------------- | Wed 20 Feb 2013 @ 15:08 |

Hi Graham It doesn't seem to be a tinyurl problem as I've tried going direct in Firefox with problems. In my Firefox it loads and then heads off somewhere else and freezes. Flock browser doesn't display either but will if you go direct to the image. Seamonkey is similar to Firefox, no image but if you try loading the image direct it loads the photobucket page but them hangs while trying to transfer data from 'tags.bluekai.com'. Enigma browser seems okay but I think thats based on IE and not Mozilla. As you say, Opera is fine so are Chrome and Safari. Looks like it's with Mozilla based browsers so perhaps photobucket have an incompatability problem with Mozilla. It doesn't work in K-Meleon either but development on that browser seems to have been stopped back in 2010. Do you think I've got too many browsers? ---------------------- | Wed 20 Feb 2013 @ 18:45 |

Depends which PC I'm on. I'm just updating the works laptop to the latest to see if it makes a difference. Don't want to do my own laptop as some of my add-ons are not compatible. ---------------------- | Wed 20 Feb 2013 @ 19:20 |

I could easily add photo uploads to this forum software. The problem comes with controling image content and size. If a user decides to register, uploads 2 Gb of kiddy porn and then leaves I'm the one stuck in the e! Also the amount of space could grow a bit big. I've just checked the site with Firefox 19 and it's the same, no image. ---------------------- | Wed 20 Feb 2013 @ 19:29 |

Been playing around on my demo site and it seems to work if you use a tinyurl for the link but a direct link for the image. I'll have to look into that to see why. ---------------------- | Wed 20 Feb 2013 @ 19:53 |

The main reason for using the tinyurl was because of the character limit in the signature. However if the limit was increased.......... ---------------------- | Wed 20 Feb 2013 @ 20:29 |

Looking at that site it would probably be the better option then as they're stored on their server so space wouldn't be a problem.I'm sure there would be settings for various limitations too.In the myff control panel they have that option. ---------------------- | Wed 20 Feb 2013 @ 20:51 |

I've had a quick look at the site and some reviews of them. The revues are not to good including complaints of porn adverts and malware. So far tonight I've found them to be very slow. I'll look into it a bit deeper later but first look isn't too promising. ---------------------- | Thu 21 Feb 2013 @ 18:03 |

Having looked a bit more,I think you could be right.Seems to be more trouble than it's worth. I don't profess to understand it but would "the cloud" be a viable proposition? Admittedly it could cost but not sure whether the free option would be adequate. http://aws.amazon.com/s3/ http://calculator.s3.amazonaws.com/calc5.html ---------------------- | Thu 21 Feb 2013 @ 23:29 |
