Landcruiser rear window rubber seals

Hi all,I sent a sample of the rear window seals as fitted in the Dormobile Landcruiser models last monday had a reply today saturday,
They have kindly sent a sample and it is the the right one,
I can see why the old ones are leaking when you have a new section the new one is a lot firmer the old one is just next to usless.

Cost is £6.50 a mtr + vat and post/packing,The filler strip is Black £1.03, Chrome £1.40 and White £1.46 a metre inclusive of vat.

The Order Codes are Window seal IRS 1100 W/S, Filler Strip Black FS 72,Chrome FS 73, White FS 74.

Hope this is helpful I am ordering mine next week.

Thank you Paul for that useful information. Just had a quick measure up & I think 5 metres should cover it for both rear windows but I'll wait & see how you get on with yours first.

Let us know how you get on.
Dormobilesuse a very soft seal, it molds its self to the contours beter, I would still use a none setting mastic just to be certain

Hello

I am from Austria i search for the Window seals for my Bedford Dormobile Landcruiser.
Have the Rear windows and side windows the same thickness ?

I ask http://www.sealsdirect but the number here is not the 100% same seal:
IRS 1100 W/S Minimum bend radius 114mm
Glass 4,75mm
Panel 1,6mm
Clearance between glass and panel 7mm
Did you attached this seal in your bedford Mikeboy / winchman ?
Please can you check it at you berdford ?
Please help me i dont get this seals in Austria, Germany.....

Thank you

Hello My window seal details are here
http://thattoheathmountainrescue.piczo.com/dormobileroof?cr=7&linkvar=000044
The best way is to take part of the old seal out and measure it as per the link above.
The problem is you need to give the seal supplier the old seal size or the size of the hole and the glass then you will get the correct size.
Some builders just altered the glass size to suit what ever seal they had in stock.
Dormobile have supplied loads of roof window seals but only two sets the same size as mine?

I havent got as far as ordering them yet, but don't forget that the seals shrink over time. Peterpaul rated the SealsDirect ones highly though...

Found out the codes provided for the seal are from Phoenix Trim (Link to PDF catalogue: http://www.google.co.uk/search?sugexp=chrome,mod=8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=IRS+1100+W%2FS
Im a bit suspect about panel thickness- did you use this one for the windscreen, Paul?
If anyone has a sliver of samples for Landcruiser back windows, I shall be most grateful!
Mike
