Eye turner!

Text It's normally Sunday at about 6.30pm when I pick my partner up in Big Bertha or is it the love bus! I'm still dumbfounded as to what to call her except to say she's a lady! Well anyway, it can happen anytime. But Sunday is as guaranteed as inclement weather! My point you ask- people who stop and stare, bleating on and on about cute and begging for a ride!!!! Well 2 weeks back at Lewisham Rail station. I dropped off a mate there. You can only stop(illegally parking I might add)by the bus terminus area. This guy was soooo busy staring at my magnificient European Motors coachbuilt bodywork that he went straight into the guy in front of him. Both still in the driving seat of their buses!!!! It's quite a regular scene to watch people go into some sort of time trap when the see me trundling along. I'm wondering if to name the old gal after something from Doctor Who! There's no age barrier either. Students from the Fox and Firkin gasp as if they've just met a celebrity and rub their hands up and down my body! What's most shocking is that she's 30+ and in need of a pimp my ride body styleing kit although I love my 1970's interior as it's sooooo damn homely!

Yes it really is amuseing to see peoples reactions.
The latest comment I heard was from a 3 year old girl.......
"Eeeewwwww, Look at that old truck."

ahem!
we'll have non of that naughtiness on here [unless i get a go]
when we had old Blod and looked like NAT's we got some funny looks.
this often turned to jealous looks as we watched tv and had coffee and butties stuck in traffic.. and of course...use of the loo.
stuck on the M% not long back I had several ladies begging the use of loo as we'd been there for ages.
i made a coffee and the queue only went forward 3 car lengths in that time

I tried to give the old gal an 80's makeover

I call it an upgrade. My painting skills are slow and reasonable for an old slow moving man. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tilley.neil@btinternet.com/album?.dir=/d9bfre2&urlhint=actn,ren%3as,3%3af,0

hopefully, you can follow the link and see the old gal in her not quite finished livery... I'm mosaic tiling the kitchen now, carpeting the walls and have about 20 metres of blue dralon for the upgrade to the upholstery- Give me another half year and I'll show you the renewed life in the old interior. I'm lucky to have bought one that was kind to me at MOT time- So she's defintly worth a bit of Loreal. Yes she's worth it.. What do you think of the nearly done paint job?

It's looking much better than when you bought it.
I think I would continue the stripes across the door, and put the small mural on the front guards.
