Too Many Beddies and not enough BMW'S

Hi Folks. This is my story (Apologies to Max Bygraves if he's up there somewhere!) Two weeks ago I bought a CF with the idea of completing a very complicated family move over a period of days and then not only using it for trips out to the New Forest from Christchurch and other handy nearby places but also to use it as a moveable studio, for I like to think I can paint.
I live in sheltered accommodation – a very small studio flat and the idea of having a moveable room was tempting, or any room at all for that matter!.
My wife still works and we meet up weekends – together and apart you might say. She loved it but then other ideas began to creep in - trips to the Lake District, Lands End. John o’Groats; the far corners of the earth, certainly farther then the New Forest – you know what wives are I expect – a greater form of luxury was desired, a shower, plush carpets and velvet curtains etc. I’ve had three – wives not Beddies – two of those are enough (Beddies that is)so I wasn't surprised by this developement.
It was at this point, envisaging long hours of striving for perfection, that I saw the very thing advertised - an Adventura with very low mileage and all the niceties of bijou living – so we stretched to a very big overdraft and bought it and consequently are very excited about setting forth into the unknown with all the spares that came with it.
Now I have received an offer to swap my first Beddie for a 1991 BMW Convertible! I thought it was a joke but he's serious and from the pics it looks very dashing and is running well it seems. Entering the world of Beddies seems to complicate life a little but certainly opens up new vistas! I just wonder now what will happen next. Fieldfare.
;D

seems a little rash to swap a beddie for a Beemer conv.
i assume he has a certificate of his sanity.
anyway if you go for it check it is his to swap and then tell him about the bedheads...
what was the beddie he wants to swap for?

Hi Roi. Yes I did wonder if he was a little deranged. It appears he had been ill (hopefully not mental) and has only driven 500 miles in it this year. He wants a camper and to go fishing, presumably a road to recovery. My first beddie is a 1979 Ci MK III worth about £1500 to £1800 and he just wants an extra £300 on the swap to fit a shower.Although I am highly tempted, it would be financial suicide for me, as I have to sell the first one to help finance my second one, which is a dream. I will tell him about the site and if you want to pass his email on to anyone it is "cxxxxxxxxxx" . He will send loads of pics. I have always fancied a BMW convertible with the wind blowing in my hair but I know that I must grow up! Anyway you can't just get out of bed and put the kettle on in a BMW! Fieldfare;D

i have edited the email address out as it's not wise to put them in open forums. if anybody is interested then they can pm you for the address
roi

pps how can you grow up --- you own a beddie

Ah - just love seeing those Beemers flashing past me on the M6 - when I'm doing 85!
I always wave happily to them 5 miles down the road when they've boiled up
