Bedfords at The Heartlands Transport Festival In the heartlands of South Wales between the valleys and the sea is Blackwood and over the weekend of 7-8 July there will be a special Salute to Bedfords as part of the Welsh Heartlands Transport Festival.There is lots to see and do including Celtic Wrestling on both days and live radio road show from the festival with music and entertainment. On Saturday 7th July there is a special road run to commemorate a reliability run staged 75 years ago by the Newport Vauxhall Dealers to promote the reliability of the new Bedford vehicle range. This is for commercial variants of Bedford only, sorry no camper vans on the road run this year, but CF pick-ups, vans of fire applicances are very welcome. Starts with a ceremonial crossing of the 100 year old Newport Transporter Bridge and then up to the Heads of the Valleys. How did this event go. wish i could have made it though as my beddy was commissioned by vauxhall's to promote the chevetts. ---------------------- |
