The story Begins....
Well after my doorman job came to an end due to an injured shoulder
and i spent two years waiting for an opp to fix it not being able to drive at all,i finaly had the opp and am recovering great(well that bit of me is)minus a few inches of bone and reattached muscles n tendons..so after being pig sick of public transport ,not that i dont like busses i do but not if thay belong to some one else ha ha
i decided to think about driving and another vehicle, now on incapacity bennifit coin is short so i was thinking about a suzuki carry camper or some thing tiny engined cheap to insure ect, then i thought about how cheap classic insurance is and how i love classic vans so i looked into it and with next to no funds set about selling on ebay every thing i could to raise some money for a classic, then i saw a cf bedford landcruiser in hull, and ime from s***thorpe so not to far away,i bid and then thought what if my mate bob with a landrover cant tow it home....what if it wont fit in the drive what if i cant find a fixed bar ect ect so when i was out bid i let it go,after it had sold i had checked with my mate and he said i would have towed it no probs,i messured the drive it would have fit...oh well maby next one i find i thought...well i was reading my mail and i had one from mark in hull asking if i was still interested"wahay"yeh why did your buyer not get it? he said he was in australia....well it was sertanly a "gu'day " for me...we have been and towed it back today it now stands proud in my drive....so over the next how ever long it takes i will be restoring her back to her former glory,it is sky blue and sort of cream colored looks great, but then any thing old looks great to me ,it was one project to many for its former owner that and a house move had mad it a Have to Go,and i just happend to be the lucky one that got her,it came with new floor brake pipes brakes a cooker fridge sink gas heater n some other bits n bobs ready to go in when ive finished the resto, engine is a 2.3 new cam belt points plugs condenser, dizzy cap ect..two manuals all for the grand price of £40 quid and that was for the cooker fridge ect...he gave me the van so as it would get a loving home(thanks mark)and loving home it has...if i could get it in the house it could sleep at the bottom of my bed with my pitbull billy....so the story begins.....pics to follow soon Cheers for the offers of help from my earlyer posts folks will be taking yous up on them when i need some advice ....thanks Ali sunny s***thorpe
