Rebuilt engine.

Hi to all,

Engine now complete and rolling over without compression at 29 lb/ft under compression at 49 lb/ft so tight as expected with new bores pistons and rings, plus reground crank with new shells.
The holdup was finding a cylinder head and getting work done to it and a missing camshaft belt wheel which arrived just today, so getting the work completed.

Cam-belt wheel.Hi to all,

Hi to all,

Replacement cam -belt wheel arrived and has been fitted, so engine now complete at a total cost of 1,700 pounds and that was with building all the machined part back together myself which brings the cost down without machine shop labour.
Saved around 300 pounds by doing the work myself, striping and rebuilding but costs have risen since my workshop days.
