1977 cf 250.2.3 slat petrol carb

i looked at my carb today because it seems to be running rich i.e. cannot use choke as it will cut out or press throttle as it will cut out.everything I have read says it is a zenith carb but I have a webber carb.is this a standard conversion.

From the manual:"The fuel system incorporates either a Zenith 36IVEP or a Weber 34ICT downdraught-type carburreter supplied from an underfloor tank by a diaphragm-type pump."
This manual, along with others, can be downloaded from dropbox via the link in the members section.
