Bedford CF1 1974 Autosleeper GVW?

Hello there,

I'm new to this site and to the world of Bedford's. I've recently inherited a 1974 Bedford CF1 Autosleeper. However I know very little about him and so am beginning the detective work! Hoping the kind folks on here may be able to help me out....
Am trying to find out the Gross Vehicle Weight....can't locate it anywhere on the van and it's not detailed on V5C. Would anyone be able to help me either figure out where that info might be on the van itself or how I would find this out?

Hi Rea,the vin plate should be on the passenger door pillar blow the lock catch.Cheers+Beers Jim.

Welcome and good luck.. These beddies can be really temperamental lol you fix one thing and for no reason whatsoever some other part will decide to give you grief..
This goes for you Jason as well.. If like me you know nothing about engine's This site is fabulous for all the information you need but if you can get a good mechanic or another Bedford owner to help and give advice then that's priceless imo.

Hi and

There are some Autosleeper brochures HERE. Nothing for 1974 but there are 1973 & 1975 brochures. May give you a view of what your CF may have looked like when it was new.
