Load sensing valve - compatible replacement?

Hello all,

It's that time of year again and my 82 350 facelift horsebox has failed the mot on the brakes. The load sensing valve has gone again, after spending £115 on a second hand one from Adrian Bailey last year I'm reluctant to go down that route again (seems the lifespan of one is approximately 34 years!).
So, does anyone know if I can bodge something on off another (newer and more readily available) make of van? Any input greatly appreciated!

Valves.

Hi Ossie,

The most reliable type I have found from past problems of that kind have been the old leveller and spring operated ones, so the scrap-yard is your best bet.

The Mk 5 transit from 1992 to 2000 has the spring lever style and are about £100 new on e bay or from a local autofactor
