Bedford gearbox.
Hi Jim,
I hope these prices for the type nine gearbox parts will give some idea of just how much damage there is inside that gearbox, which was defiantly not in good shape when you bought it.
Having been able to find you a clutch plate and a gear-stick retaining nut it does look like the best way to getting you back onto the road.

Hi Doug,I still have a lot of work to do like welding the cross member looking out clutch cable and speed o cable also I have to refabricate the front section of the prop shaft and weld it.Today I find that the needle roller bearing that is in the engine has smashed so more to find! Gearbox.
HI Jim,
Having seen the damage to the fourth gear and therefore the input shaft it is no wonder to me that the needle roller bearing in the crank-shaft is shattered, there is no lubrication to that small needle roller and the amount of movement in the input shaft once the front main-shaft bearing broke up would destroy it.

Hi Doug,at this time the van has had to be put on the back burner as we are taking the family camping at Shell Island a week on Monday for a week so money is short still crap happens.Cheers+Beers Jim.

Parts.
Hi Jim,
Sorry I have been a bit busy getting the drugs changed and ordered up for the wife they are trying so new one's, I have a clutch plate and gearstick nut all boxed up ready to send to you.
That speedo cable might be the answer to my problem I will check what the parcel post costs are and get it posted down to you so that you can get wired into it when you come back.

Hi Doug,you have nothing to apologise for mate your mrs comes first the van is now on hold as I have to make up ground with my mrs ,she's looking forward to the shell island trip with the family,I am thinking as the van is this fare stripped I may change the ring as a matter of corse.I will have to check the funding after we return.Cheers+Beers Jim.

Hi Jim,
I have just posted off a tail-shaft mount for your gearbox at nine forty five so with a bit of luck you should get it tomorrow lunch time.

Hi Jim,
Got your speedo cable and clutch plate around eleven so I hope you got that tail-shaft mount so that you can get wired into the job.
