Headlights.

Hi enoch,

I have had a lot of trouble with the head lights on my Bedford in the past and found that the fuse boxes were a common cause due to dampness and poor connections, my most recent fault was I found a corroded earth connection behind the offside headlight.
It has a black double earth connector which takes four earth wires together and was badly corroded, once replaced all the headlights came back on, hope this helps!

Lights.

Hi enoch,

It could be the column switch its self, maybe one of the contacts is damaged or broken I have had that problem before myself.

Hi Enoch,it sounds like there is a broken wire or bad conection in the main/dip switch on the steering colom.Try checking and cleaning the switch.Cheers+Beers Jim.
