Motorhome damp issue

My beddie has damp issues. Its quite serious around the door area, (see photos). I took it to a motorhome repairer in Accrington and he said there is damp everywhere and he quoted around £5000 to totally strip and refit. Does anyone know a repairer who is a little less expensive

You?
Seriously,it's not that hard a job if you do a bit at a time.Obviously the first job is to find where the water is coming in.If you take the hardboard off you should then see the framework behind & what condition it's in.While that's removed use a hosepipe & look for the ingress point.Once that's sealed you can set about replacing the rotted wood.
If you want to pop down to Northampton for a weekend I can give you a hand. We've got a spare bedroom or you could sleep in the van out the back.

Damp.

Hi to all,

It is common on older campervans in the case of mine it was the edge of the roof joints but where you find the drips is not always where the water is getting into the van, so before you rip anything off reseal the edges the full length of the roof.
