MOT.

Hi to all,

Last week I got my old Bedford through another MOT for the year, getting more difficult with the age of the van but good for another year anyway.

Doug.

A taxing time.

Hi to all,

The next step is to decide when to tax the Bedford for the season, hoping it is going to warm up a tad in the next two weeks.

Five years on.

Hi to all,

It is now five years since buying the old Bedford CF facelift and I am the seventeenth owner, it started its life in Gateshead area in 1981.
I have found through old paperwork left in the van it spent time taxed and mot'd in Derby and in Plymouth before being bought and taken to Livingstone, where I bought it five years ago.

If only the CF could talk. Imagine the places it's been, the people it's seen and the adventures it's had during those 17 owners.

No rush for Easter.

Hi o all,

Today we have had wind rain and snow, very cold for egg rolling but I see umpteen campervans and caravans passing by off up the A9 north mixed with ski fanatic's.

TAX TIME.

Hi to all,

I am now road taxed and back on the road for the season, that should slow the traffic down on the A9 north.

Model railway.

Hi to all,

Had a short trip out with the old Bedford to visit and support a local miniature steam railway club on what turned out to be a lovely day with the two grandchildren, and they love that old campervan.
So good time was had by all in lovely sunshine, the first for a long time up this end of the country.

Ready for the season.

Hi to all,

Now that I have had a couple of short test trips out with the Bedford I am ready for a season of rallies further afield, the first being Kelso but I should manage a few fishing trips in before that.

If it's fishing and camping try this place http://www.springleafishery.co.uk/

I've been going there for years. A lovely spot with nice pools and very good local services.

Cost cutting.

Hi to all,

I found I needed some replacement pedal rubbers for the Bedford, so I have cut some replacements from old rubber car floor mats and use a good adhesive to glue them into place.
