disc brakes thanks gethin the brakes are coming off a mk1 so apart from the things you have mentioned it should be a straight swop. |

I have seen a picture of a CA with a front-mounted spare wheel, so someone somewhere has done it! Can't remember where I saw the pic though . . . . . . I was thinking of doing that on my CF1 camper because the gas tank sits where the spare wheel used to be. I have not done it yet but I wondered if it might assist the engine to overheat ?? PTT |

front disc I thought about fitting an electric fan with an override switch to bring the fan on when there were signs of it overheating |

depending on how much the discs where going to cost you 1 way of keeping your stud wheels would be to have a conversion plate done. |

Hi. I've just noticed you're in Poole. I've just bought my 1980 Advantura and was wondering about a disc conversion too. The chap I bought it off said I can get a series 2 set up and it would bolt straight on. I guess the 6 stud is the heavy duty version like on the 350? Where do you take yours for an MOT? Kars & Kampers on Ringwood Road next to the Pottery? I'm in Bournemouth by the way. |
