camshaft Hi to every one, First time on here and first time owner of a cf bedford, its a 1982 350 with a 2.3 slant engine, has a Pioneer body, and have only had it 4 month.and nothing but problems with the old girl, to many things to list here and bore you all, so I will cut to the problem I have now... I am in need of a camshaft housing or a complete camshaft and housing, one of the tappet adjuster screws has damaged the tappet bucket guide, got some one to fit a new head gasket and it came back running on 3 pots, I then took it down my self to find a valve stuck down, and the bucket jammed in its guide, its taken a chunk out so goosed,,I am not a mechanic, and now I am thinking the mechanic who did the job is not either , buts its done so I am seeking help for this problem,,, Thanks to all for any help | Fri 08 Aug 2014 @ 21:01

Have you tried Adrain Bailey? His contact details can be found in the 'where to get cf spares' section at http://cf-uk.co.uk/spares.htm He's expensive but he's either got or can get most CF parts. ---------------------- | Sat 09 Aug 2014 @ 11:01

Hi bluebedouin, First thank you for your fast reply and photos,I am sat here with mine sat on my lap,It does not seem the same, ie it has 5 small ball bearings same as your but mine has 2 larger ball bearing each side of the center channel, other wise it seems the same..I am thinking if I can clean it up ie, get the tappet bucket to run free up and down it sound work, as the bucket has 2 holes in it for the adjuster and a cut away on the casting were you adjust it, so will a little chip out be a problem ????? many thanks again, | Sat 09 Aug 2014 @ 20:46
