brake lines

hi again, Im about to replace all the brake lines on my Cf 250 and was wondering
if anyone has used the brake lines that are being sold on ebay

Automec Copper Brake Pipe Set and if they are any good/need moding to fit or if they go straight on with no problems?

also can someone point me in the direction for brake cylinder bleed screws/nipples for the same van that actually fit.

thanks
Paul

Brake pipe

Hi Paul, the set of pipes you are talkig about will have metric threds. You need Imperial. You could try your localparts depot and ask for old stock. You can also try the Bedford pages on the net.I hope this helps.Cheers +Beers.Jim.

easiest way is to remove 1 pipe at a time .
then have a look at both ends..

All joints will be imperial and convex or op 1...
make sure that everything is clean and always use your fingers to connect the unions up with a spanner to tighten up..
if you use a spanner to run the unions up you have a good chance of cross threading the joint.
Always use new dot 4 brake fluid, never use the fluid twice as it will contain air which will lead to spongy pedal...

once your finish the job using an assistant to press the brake pedal as had as possible with the engine running and check for leaks on all the joints..............
