new to Bedford ownership

Hi guys & girls
Me and my girlfriend made an impulse purchase in the form of an '82 CF350 Ambulance to do a camper conversion on.
We always had the intention of looking at/buying a van to convert but just not right now...until this one came up for sale.
Unfortunately we don't have the time right now to start converting it as I'm in the middle of a custom '68 Morris Minor build, but once that is out of the way the van will get some much needed attention.
The van is fairly rough and needs some welding and fiberglass repair work but we can see through the dirt and mould to what will eventually be an amazing van.

I believe it's got 2.3 petrol engine and 4 speed manual 'box. Not expecting much more than 50mph cruising speed

You can go faster. You just need better ear plugs

You dont buy a cf to break Santa pod speed records. But they will dit at 50 all day it didn't matter about ear plugs when it was an ambulance they had sirens lol

woo hoo, another ambulance! I bought mine in December, already done up. Mines an '88 CF2 with a caravan interior grafted in. Let me know if you're interested in seeing any internal shots.
She's in the garage at the moment as the engine blew up and I'm low on funds to get it done quickly

Below is a thread with some pictures.
