Fuel run back Hello,Can anyone help? When my Bedford CF Panel van is left for a short period of time the glass bowl in the fuel pump completely empties. The van then won't start and won't suck any fuel up. The only way to get it going is to pour fuel into the carb and keep pouring it in until it sucks it up. Is the fuel pump knackered? either the pump is knackered or week . best bet is to fit an electric pump either just above the pickup pipe in the tank (push pump) or fit a pump under the heater vent (suck pump) either way all thats needed is an ignition controlled supply fused at 10a remember to make sure that the unions are tight and bypass the existing pump but leave it in place or fit a cover plate to stop any oil coming out. | Sat 01 Jun 2013 @ 18:09 |
