CF1 Bonnet

Hello, anyone know why the CF1's bonnets always rusted out?

Hi Ian,

It must be due to the design of the inner frame that trapped moisture under the skin.

The CF2 and facelift, doesn't seem to suffer the same ravages of rust, so perhaps the water drainage was improved with the redesign.

have the same old son but if you have a 99p shop near you at the mo they have white plastikote spay in so ive got some of that and its great ...a good cover up for winter then ill take the thing off and do it proper but ive covered the inside and the rusty bit out side for the winter ..looks ok old son
