Mk1 Panel Van GVW Hello there, I've just bought a lovely, 1 owner, totally stock (even down to the original spare tyre!) Bedford CF Mark 1 panel van in white.I'd just like to know how to tell what the gross vehicle weight is. It says on the log book (still has the 1975 style one!) that the unleaden weight is 1385.8 KG. I want to know how much weight my van can carry please. Thanks for your time, Cheers Ian ---------------------- | Mon 29 Oct 2012 @ 21:11 |

Hi and welcome to the site. I'm currently stuck in Somerset on a mobile dongle with really slow access so can't point you to exactly the right place but if you take a look at http://bedfordcf.co.uk/brochure.htm there should be a sales brochure from around the time of your van. Hopefully it should give you the info you require ---------------------- | Mon 29 Oct 2012 @ 21:33 |

The vinplate on mine is on the passenger door pillar. If you open the door it should be there if not look in other obscure places! That's where the gvw will be displayed. ---------------------- | Mon 29 Oct 2012 @ 22:09 |

Well, when you haven't got a clue how to do it yourself, and you don't have any tools, or equipment, or a garage, or a workshop, or anyone to give you a hand ... it does start to feel quite easy. You either get someone else to do it (easy) or don't bother having it done (also easy) ---------------------- | Tue 30 Oct 2012 @ 21:08 |
