Monty resto Hi folks.Just wanted to say hi and to keep you posted on my Bedford CF 250 Ci Autohomes Bedouin. Brought it blindly a couple of weeks ago to restore to useable condition. I'm leaving the engine til last, on the understanding that if I can get it through the MOT I don't want to be hanging around waiting for the bodywork to be done. So far.... Carpet removed, most of the cupboards, some of the wallboards. This showed the floor was ok, but a lot of the frame timbers are soaked and crumbling. These are being slowly chipped away with a chisel and allowed to dry out. As I can't put the van under cover I'm relying on plastic sheeting to keep the monsoon out. Though to be honest it can do any more damage!!! As soon as I work out how to pics I'll get some put on the site. It's not a pretty sight though I'm determined to get it done though as I feel it could be a lovely van. And the lenses in my specs are clear Thanks folks Kim ---------------------- | Thu 12 Jul 2012 @ 21:48 |

Update Wallboards changed that needed doing, including some of the wooden battening. Wallpapered. Most of cupboards back in, Lino down, carpet in bed area. Just got cab, bathroom, body work......oh yes and the engine! The walls were really rotten and some of the battens were like wet cat litter. Mushy!!! So much for having it done for oct half term Best intentions and all that Kim | Fri 23 Nov 2012 @ 17:39 |

Thanks Colin. Tbh my enthusiasm has plummeted now the cold weathers here. I'd love to get it going just to fire me up bait, but that would mean towing it to a mechanic. Which financially won't be any time around Xmas | Fri 30 Nov 2012 @ 22:05 |

This weather does tend to take the enthusiasm away. I wish I could use that as an excuse. I haven't touched my CF for around 3 years ---------------------- | Tue 04 Dec 2012 @ 16:06 |
