Coolant

Hi, after a fair bit of welding (still ongoing) i've decided to put on hold and give the engine a service. The van (CF230 1.8 ltr 1983) had been stood for several years and all i did to get it home was put a new battery on and change the oil. I was considering flushing out the coolant and replacing but was wandering to what ratio, are the cylinder heads prone to corrosion? I'm a person who thinks if it's not broken don't fix it so how far do you go when servicing a CF?. Mnay thanks. John.

The ratio of antifreeze and water is 50/50.

The coolant deteriorates over time so draining and refilling with fresh is a good idea.....

If the system is bad then you could use a coolant flush and a reverse flush to rid the system of the crap that will have built up..............
