Window winders?...

The half moon shape gear arm that lifts the glass window up and down inside my driversd door has lost it's 4 and 5 th from last teeth(hope that makes sense),which prevents it from going all the way up as the hand winder gear cog does not ave anything to cog to.lol......the window however can be wound all the way down,my theory....can I disengage the the winder cog from the half moon arm, adjust as necessary and then reengage the two, resulting in the arm being able to be wound all the way up but not all the way down,?.......

Short answer: no.

Regulator lever arm riveted to the quadrant would have to be re-positioned on the quadrant in order to change the operating range of the quadrant teeth.

A possible work-around if it's the driver side that's worn is to dismantle a passenger side regulator (as being less likely to be worn out) & turn the quadrant over.

Not something I've tried yet (in th'old days regulators were easy to find) but I've got a duff regulator to play with so I'll move it up the ToDo list & see what's involved.

Quadrant is the bit with teef in/missing; same thing both sides but installed mirror image on the winder bracket that bolts to the door.

Lever arm is the arm with one roller that's riveted to the quadrant.

Other arm with 2 rollers that pivots in the lever arm is the balance arm.
