Red with a gold stripe?

I have a wire that runs from my headlight rocker switch to a second identical rocker switch,the second switch has a red/gold wire that runs off to the back of my van,I lose it somewhere around the diesel tank,I can't get right under at the moment but was wondering what had that switch been for?

Red + yellow wire is for front fog (or spot) lamps.
