Halogen swap

Hi all been a long time for me but I'm back at it,I'm putting halogen headlights in and was wondering if it is just a straight change or is there anything I need to adjust I read something on relays and got confused lol.......

Straight swap on CFs with 12-way fusebox (& CF2 but most have QH to start with)

but ...

1. the column stalk switch is best run through relays for dip/main & flash to avoid the switch melting

and

2. the lights switch (push-pull & rocker types) might not be up to the job if it's had a lot of use so may need a relay on the headlamp feed.
