4 way flasher hell

Hi all,cananyone please tell me how to wire in a 4 way flasher unit.I have the bedford unit with the 2way/4 way flasher.I really need a idiots discription as have difculty following book diagrams.Thanking you inantisipaton.Cheers + Beers Jim.

1981 CF should have wiring for hazard warning (4-way) unit separate from the turn signal unit; a single unit for both can cause problems because the turn signal runs off ignition supply but the hazard unit runs off battery supply.

If the original hazard warning switch is present then, in the dash wiring, a 2-pin turn signal unit should be connected to the green and light green + brown wires and a 2-pin hazard warning unit should be connected to the purple and purple + brown wires.
